Trying to remember a how the characters in Disney's John Carter film were I tried to do one from memory. More important than shape an accuracy though was the technique. It had been a long time since I had last used the paint-in-grey-and-then-add-colour technique; at the time I thought it to be terribly unsatisfying but now I see one can paint faster that way. Worry only about highlights and shadows and leaving colour for later has its benefits. Fun times!
